Our Metaverse Community
I founded the Meta Quest VR family ( https://lnkd.in/dNMrRMBi ) in 2019 shortly before the Oculus Quest was supposed to significantly advance mobile VR. Soon we started meeting regularly in VR and exploring the Metaverse from 2020. During the pandemic, we realized what a social task we had taken on and helped thousands of people during the period of social distancing. Today we have 8,600 users and are the largest German-speaking Facebook group on the subject of Metaverse and VR. And we are living the Metaverse more than ever. We impart knowledge and media literacy free of charge so that the Metaverse is understood and becomes a safe place for everyone.
In March 2023 we had to abandon our spaces in Altspace VR after Microsoft decided to close the platform. Like many other communities around the world, we have lost our virtual home. We then found a new home in RAUM. The Metaverse RAUM virtual reality collaboration from Germany corresponded to our ideas, especially in the way this platform brings reality into digitality. The VR family is different than other communities. We have a different concept and a different idea of a harmonious rhythm, which RAUM reflects in its style. Yesterday we celebrated our one-year anniversary in RAUM in one of our self-created worlds. With 10 fantastic spaces, we have created our own Metaverse and thus reflect the spirit of our community.
We don’t just talk about it, we live the Metaverse!
