We are excited to share a significant milestone in our journey with the release of Quest 3 and Meta for Business. As part of this advancement, we want to inform you about an important update regarding our support for older devices.

End of Support for Quest 1:

With Quest 1 now being three years old, official support from Meta will cease at the end of this year. In line with our commitment to providing you with the best experience, we have made the decision to discontinue support for Quest 1 and Oculus for Business effective 31st March 2024.

Why This Change?

Your experience as our customer is paramount to us. The evolving demands for more interactive 3D elements and increased simultaneous users within workspaces necessitate a focus on devices that can meet these demands effectively. By discontinuing support for the oldest device, we ensure that all supported devices maintain the performance standards essential for an optimal experience. This advanced notice aims to provide you with ample time to plan for device replacement.

Transitioning to Meta for Business and Quest 2:

The substantial firmware differences between Oculus for Quest and the consumer-oriented Quest 2, coupled with the new Meta for Business availability in our key markets, have prompted this strategic move.

What’s Next for “Oculus for Business” Customers?

We understand the significance of this transition. All RAUM customers had been contacted to discuss personalized migration plans if they intend to continue leveraging Quest for business purposes after 1st April 2024.
