Within a few days of each other, two platforms announced their end. ENGAGE XR is shutting down with only days’ notice. Microsoft is retiring Immersive Events and Avatars in Teams, known to most people simply as Microsoft Immersive Teams, on April 2, 2027 (more on that here).
Behind both announcements are real people: trainers, educators, event hosts and companies who built programs, worlds and communities over many years. First of all, respect to the ENGAGE team and community for what they created. Many of them are now asking the same question: where do we go next, and how fast can we get there?
Our answer is to open our doors.
Immersive Exploration: free live RAUM Tours
Starting next week, our team hosts open RAUM Tours on two days every week, with one session for Europe and one for the Americas each day. Each tour takes about one hour, is free of charge and comes with no obligation. Every session is limited to 14 participants, so there is room for every question.
What you will see
We walk you through real use cases and show you the part that surprises most people: how AI produces 3D spatial content for interactive storytelling, with the complete process right in front of you. Input, prompt, result.

How it works: we start in Microsoft Teams for 5 to 10 minutes to make sure everything works, then we jump into RAUM together. One hour before your session you will receive all joining details. A VR headset is required. You can download RAUM here.
Bring your content with you
Have you built worlds, 3D assets or Unity projects on ENGAGE or Microsoft Immersive Teams? We are happy to take a look and help you move your content to RAUM as cost-effectively as possible. With some partners, the transfer has even been cost-neutral.
