Into the post-video-call era with VR?

As the xReality team we regularly hold our team meetings in VR. Last week we started a new ongoing VR format made up of a workshop and team building. For that, Michael Gairing and the RAUM virtual reality collaboration team provided the VR solution “RAUM” and Quest headsets.

Our recap:

๐Ÿ“Œ Leaving flatland: through 3D spatial experience, avatars, gestures and spatial audio, VR gives more depth and more focus. No distractions from smartphones, and physical movement frees you from the office chair.

๐Ÿ“Œ Work, classic & new: as a whole team in event rooms or as a sub-team in breakout rooms. Knowledge work in VR happens with sticky notes or 3D models.

๐Ÿ“Œ Virtual presence strengthens the team feeling: VR makes it possible for colleagues to feel close to each other again. Even team-building methods like the “warm shower” work. And for even more comfort: a VR after-work session under a fantastic starry sky is the icing on the cake.

The feedback was positive throughout. One thing is clear: New Work & VR are not just hip, they are a fantastic and effective way of working together. See you again in three months.
