ImmBlend: So what is the metaverse actually good for?

We tried it out and promptly moved our team meetings into the virtual world.

Not virtual as in Teams. No, properly, with “all” the senses.

We got ourselves Oculus headsets and used the virtual spaces from RAUM virtual reality collaboration .

Our goal is to get to know the potential of the future early, and to prepare our customers for the next level as well.

🕵️‍♀️ What have we learned so far?

👍 Meeting virtually is an incredible experience, and the technology works surprisingly well!

👍 Despite the virtuality you are 100% present in the meeting, focused, with no outside distractions.

🫴 More than two or three hours without a break does overload the senses, though.

👍 Creative processes flow more smoothly and more creatively than over Teams or Zoom (though that is of course a matter of personality).

🚀 Events and meetings in the metaverse are a great addition to real life, but they do not (yet) replace meeting in person.

The potential in times of pandemic and high energy costs is enormous, though, and the odd short-haul flight can certainly be saved – without giving up an experience touchpoint in the customer journey.
