The iguverse – igus’ virtual reality for sales and engineering in industry – runs on RAUM. What began as a digital twin of the igus factory of the future has grown into a place of work: teams meet there for collaborative engineering on machines and plants, walk through assembly and installation before anything is built, run feasibility checks on digital twins, train colleagues, support maintenance and hold international conferences without anyone boarding a plane.
The results are the ones that count in engineering: fewer physical prototypes, shorter development times, lower costs, better products – and journeys, along with the CO2 they would have produced, that simply never happen.
The iguverse has been recognised with the Red Dot Award 2024 and the German Brand Award 2023, and companies such as Abicor Binzel, h+b technics and SK LASER work in it.
Thank you, igus, for trusting RAUM with all of it – and for showing what “improve what moves” looks like once you move it into virtual reality.
