Industrial Metaverse – the Lufthansa Allegris case and RAUM virtual reality collaboration
On Friday, together with members of my Facebook group (VR Familie), I was given a unique and very rare look inside Lufthansa’s metaverse. Lufthansa uses the metaverse from the Cologne-based provider RAUM to present its Allegris cabin interior to selected customers in a thoroughly modern way, and to train employees in VR.
On the tour with Rolf Meßmer (RAUM) we learned how the partnership came about, what the challenges were and exactly how Lufthansa uses the metaverse for its business. A digital twin of a passenger aircraft was something new even for an old metaverse hand like me.
Many thanks to Rolf and his colleagues at RAUM for a highly immersive experience that will stay with me for a long time!
